Search Continues: San Jose Man Yongchang Chen Missing for Four Days

A San Jose man, 66-year-old Yongchang Chen, was reported missing last Thursday, September 26, by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). As of Monday, Chen has still not been located, prompting the Almaden Valley community to unite in support of the Chen family during their search.

A neighbor from Almaden Valley reported that Chen was last captured on surveillance video between 8:40 and 8:50 a.m. near the intersection of Crystal Springs Drive and Golf Creek Drive. According to CHP, he was last seen near Trinidad Drive and Camden Avenue, roughly a mile away from that location.

Chen is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a dark shirt, a green vest, dark pants, gray shoes, and a black ball cap. Authorities believe he may be on foot.

The community is urged to assist in the search. If anyone has surveillance footage of Chen in their area, they are encouraged to contact 909-551-6988, as indicated on a neighborhood flyer shared with KRON4.

CHP also advises that anyone who locates Chen should call 911 immediately.
