PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WPMG) – As seen on FOX, CBS and CNN, Philadelphia District Attorney Lawrence S. Krasner was denied access to Temple University Hospital this morning where the now deceased SWAT Cpl. James O’Connor was being treated for a shooting the morning of March 13th.
In a bold and shocking display of protest against the District Attorney, the Philadelphia Police Department denied Krasner access to the emergency room; linking arms and preventing entry. The press release of the shooting took place outside in the parking lot of the hospital, where Krasner made remarks to FOX 29 and other prominent area media affiliates.
Neither the Philadelphia Police Department nor DA Krasner offered an explaination to the bizarre protest. It is known that the department has not had a good relationship with DA Krasner for some time.
Cpl. O’Connor was serving a homicide warrant just outside of the city center early this morning when he was shot by an occupant from behind a closed second story door. Cpl. O’Connor was rushed to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 6:09 AM.
