CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WPMG) – A Cumberland County community is mourning the loss of a local firefighter and resident who was killed in a house fire early Monday morning.
34-year-old Jerome Guise, of Boiling Springs, was an active firefighter at the Mount Holly Spring VFD. Guise was killed when the front porch collapsed on top of him while he was battling the blaze.
36-year-old resident, Jessica Diehl, died during the house fire as well.
An additional man who was inside of the house during the fire was severely injured. A pet dog was killed as well.
