CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WPMG) – Emergency responders arrived at the scene of a fully-involved vehicle fire. When they approached the vehicle, the firefighters noticed the Pennsylvania State Police were already on-scene.
Authorities say the Pennsylvania State Police was in hot pursuit of the charred vehicle after the driver allegedly took off from a troop near Clymer, Pa. on Route 422. The chase ended about 4-miles outside of Grampian, in Clearfield County, on Route 219.
The crash occurred at 1 a.m. Sunday-morning, which caused numerous fire departments to be dispatched to assist with shutting down Route 219 for several hours.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, while the driver was placed in handcuffs with minor injuries.
