INDIANA, Pa. (WPMG) – The Indiana University of Pennsylvania has released information originally distributed from the Indiana Borough Police Department.
Police stated they believe 3-men, who was wearing ski masks, were involved in two separate crime scenes.
2 people were allegedly injured in the shootings. An armed robbery call was initially placed just before 8 p.m. but when a nearby resident grew concerned, they dialed the authorities.
A gun shot was heard from the 911 caller, but the caller could not get a clear view of who the armed men were.
Only one person was shot, according to the police. Both victims were still taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The University ordered a lockdown of all facilities while the police investigated the crime scenes. The authorities believe these were planned and targeted attacks, and that there is no current risk to community safety.
