The Summer of 2019 was interesting. It also seemed to look oddly familiar.
One thing to note is that many trends repeated themselves from recent memory this summer.
Whether is was Facebook news articles over a year old, childhood movies and video games being remade or the rebirth of Minecraft and PewDiePie, it seems like we have experienced some kind of internet trend cache dump.
We even made time to revisit the hunt for Aliens, Bigfoot and the supernatural.
In addition, it seems like we have taken time to reminisce on hurricanes that have wiped out a large portion of the US in the last several years as we also prepare for the juggernaut of a hurricane that is Dorian.
Experts, social skeptics, and the general observant are stumped as to why it seems like we experienced a sort of deja vu on a massive scale.
What on Earth has caused such a refresher for us? Some are quick to point out early to mid 90’s nostalgia and others blame it on a need to take a break from politics.
Whatever the reason, it was a summer to remember…again.
