CLEARFIELD TWP, Pa. – A Pittsburgh-based emergency medical helicopter based company, STAT Medevac, landed two of their helicopters at a crash scene on Wednesday following a crash on Route 422.
The 911 call originally came into the Butler County 911 center around 4 p.m. for a multi-vehicle crash near the Butler and Armstrong counties line. Butler County units included East Butler and Herman. Armstrong county had a unit respond as well.
Traffic was being “U-turned” on Route 422 eastbound. Traffic was being diverted from the scene on Route 422 westbound. An investigation is currently on-going at the time of this article.
According to reports online, three people were injured in the crash. Two patients were required to be flown to UPMC Presbyterian by STAT Medevac.
